Kira was born in Kildare and from a very early age fell in love with music. She studied for many years with Irene Thompson with whom she won numerous awards in various singing competitions throughout Ireland.

Upon completing her BA (Mus) Hon in The National University of Ireland, Maynooth, in 2001 Kira joined Riverdance on Broadway, New York as their Lead Soloist and from there joined the touring troupe, travelling with them the length and breadth of America, Canada, Mexico and Germany.

In 2005 Kira completed a Diploma in Opera Performance, at Birkbeck, University of London. Whilst in London, Kira was invited to join Celtic Women and had a wonderful experience touring with them throughout America, Canada and Japan, singing in such venues as Carnegie Hall and Radio City Music Hall, New York.

On the home front Kira has appeared many times in the National Concert Hall, Dublin, The Waterfront Theatre, Belfast, and also on National and International television. She is a past member and soloist of Anúna and travelled widely throughout the world with the group. She has recorded and performed with such artists as Walt Disney, Julie Feeney, Celtic Woman, The Corrs, Charlotte Church, The Chieftains, Secret Garden and many more.  

Kira has worked with Opera Ireland and Anna Livia Opera performing in such operas as Madame Butterfly, Lady Macbeth of Mtensck, The Flying Dutchman, Tosca and Jenufa. In 2001, Kira holds fond memories of the night when she represented Ireland as a backing singer in the Eurovision Song Contest in Copenhagen.

Kira's wealth of musical and performance experience is in high demand as she is constantly busy providing private tuition in both singing and piano to people of all ages.
